Despite what is going on with real estate markets in other parts of the country and the state, Corvallis real estate values have increased steadily over the past 5 years based on the following statistics from The Willamette Valley MLS:

 Average sale price in :

2004- $235,500

2005- $257,700

2006- $293,300

2007- $306,700

2008- $306,000- only a slight tapering off in 2008

Steady increases in property values are what keep an area strong. Abnormally high increases in property values over a short period spell trouble in the long run.

Corvallis Real Estate expert!

It is a buyers market. I say GO FOR IT…with caution.  Find the house you want and analyze the price, or have your real estate professional analyze the price to make sure you are not over paying for a piece of property.  A good realtor will show you current active, pending, and closed sales in the area where you are looking to determine the best price for a home with the thought in mind that property values have declined somewhat from last year at the same time.  I would like to hear from folks interested in buying a home, but aren’t sure if it’s the right time. What are your fears? What are your questions?

Welcome to Tammy Woodman’s Blog! This blog will provide you with valuable information, tips, and general insight into the real estate market in Corvallis.
